HR OFFICER
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a HR Officer to provide the best possible HR support to the organisation’s employees and volunteers.
About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Officer. The HR
Officer will deliver core HR processes across the organisation and throughout the employee and volunteer lifecycle. You will develop and maintain internal HR processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the HR function.
The role will report to the Head of People and Finance and will work closely with the
Senior Leadership Team and the wider Management Team to provide the best possible support to the organisation’s employees and volunteers.
The HR Officer will liaise with an external HR consultant to ensure SARSAS operates as an efficient, fair and inclusive employer.
About you
The successful candidate will be dynamic and self-motivated with significant experience working within the HR function of an organisation. You will have hands-on experience of the full employee lifecycle and be passionate about creating a great place for people to work and thrive in. You will be passionate about working with an approach which prioritises inclusivity, equality, consistency and wellbeing in decision making while meeting the operational needs of the organisation.
You will be a team player who is conscientious, has excellent computer literacy and communication skills. You will be motivated and methodical in your approach, with excellent IT skills and a high attention to detail.
You will have a minimum of a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice.
About SARSAS
SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress and help rebuild the lives of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and
BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.
We campaign and educate to raise awareness and bring an end to sexual violence.
Partnership work with a variety of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.
Our work is guided by a trauma-informed approach which understands how traumatic experiences can impact on survivors and keeps an awareness of the effects of trauma at the forefront of our approach to support.

Contract information
Salary £27,500 pa FTE (pro rata)
Hours 30 hours per week
Based Bristol or Taunton with up to 50% of hours per week working from home
Contract Permanent
