HR Manager (0.8 negotiable)

Originally a family-run business, ASL/Pharmagraph has doubled in size over the last 3 years (currently 75 employees), has become an employee-owned trust and has recently introduced a solid package of benefits to support our colleagues at this time of growth. The company’s products are used in environmental monitoring systems for pharmaceutical (GSK, AstraZeneca etc.), NHS and life sciences customers, as well as for aerospace and military applications.
This stand-alone role will suit a pro-active and supportive people- and business- driven HR specialist (and don’t worry, not a payroll-responsibility in sight).
Our HR Manager will have the following skills, attributes and experience:

· A clear and influential communicator with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Have strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize task execution based on business needs.
· High level of accuracy and excellent organisational skills.
· Full experience across the employee lifecycle (from onboarding through to offboarding) along with future strategic planning and delivery.
· CIPD Level-5 qualified or of equivalent experience with a thorough understanding of Human Resources legislation and best practice.
· Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
The key roles and responsibilities for our HR Manager:
· Work with the respective departments to provide consultancy to the business area on: reward and recognition; organisation design, employee relations; succession planning; talent management; performance management; employee engagement, training & development.
· Develop strong partnerships with the senior stakeholder community, working in a collaborative manner to achieve business objectives.
· Work closely with leadership, business units, and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and support retention.
· Ensure effective talent attraction & acquisition for all areas of the company.
· Provide coaching and development for managers on leadership and employee development issues with creative and strategic HR value-added recommendations in support of the business goals.
· Lead the process of any collective (formal or informal) consultation, and advise managers on individual consultation required to support organisational change in line with a dignified employee experience and in accordance with the law.
· Gather data and provide insight, updates and reports where needed.
· Guarantee timely and appropriate fulfilment of HR administration and labour regulations requirements.
· Assist in development and implementation of new policies.
· Partner the leadership team to influence thinking, provide challenge and identify opportunities to add greater value.
