PRODUCTION ASSISTANT, Children’s Division
The opportunity
Bloomsbury Publishing Plc is looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our very busy Children’s Production Department as Production Assistant. This role will work on a prestigious backlist and is an excellent opportunity for a graduate interested in a career in Production. This role reports to the Production Manager, Children’s Production Division.
The role

Processing reprints on our UK mono and colour lists

Generate costings for reprints and special sales deals

Manage printed stock delivery process ensuring our warehouse and freight forwarder know what stock is arriving and when

Updating backlist eBooks when required

Providing administrative support to the team

Ensuring all projects are produced on schedule, to high quality standards and within controlled budgets
Skills, knowledge, experience

Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Keen eye for detail and a good head for numbers

IT skills (knowledge of Office is essential and familiarity with Adobe products and Biblio 3 desirable)
The role is a full-time permanent position. Salary is £25,000 pa.
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are Monday and Tuesday.
As an Assistant role, this position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
