Monkhouse prides itself on getting children back to school in uniform which gives them the confidence to start their academic year and you will play a pivotal role throughout the year in making this happen by supporting our valued customers.
Although we are a retail business, our peak unusually falls in the Summer. Christmas is when the business has downtime and Summer is when the business sees its busiest period of the year. The environment is super-fast paced during the months of June to August and we spend all the months leading up to this to be ready to serve our customers.
The position is incredibly rewarding and the best thing about this job is that it has so much variation, especially in our peak season.
So let’s take you through everything about the job itself.
At Monkhouse ‘service is everything’ and your job will be to service our customers to a high standard. Practically this means taking care of our customers from when they enter the store to when they walk out.
Don’t worry, we will provide you with plenty of training and we will buddy you up with an experienced assistant to help settle you in.
Once you are onboard with our customer journey and product ranges, the rest of the job is just about a big smile and using good conversation with customers.
Other tasks will include general support with stock management and ensuring the store always looks presentable.
At Monkhouse working as a team is critical to getting the job done. So, we are all in it together and from time to time we support our colleagues in their tasks wherever needed.
