An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic EAL teacher to join our very strong EAL department. The successful candidate will teach EAL to individuals and small groups in Years 7-13. Experience of teaching IELTS is desirable, but not essential. The CELTA qualification (or equivalent) is required. Liaison with pupils, parents/guardians and other staff is expected as appropriate.
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching English as an Additional Language to international pupils from 11-18 years of age. They will help girls to develop proficiency in English in order to access their curricula, support them in becoming independent learners and participate fully in the community life of the school.
A degree of flexibility is required due to the varying need of demand. The successful candidate must ideally be available to teach up until 6 p.m. There will be both group and individual one-to-one lessons.
