Reporting to the Operations Snr manager for the Platform Systems Business Area the successful candidate will be responsible for all Operations activities across the assigned project.
Working within a matrix organisation, the role shall be the link between project and functional stakeholders and shall include controlling spend of assigned budgets against all Operations tasks, ensuring the achievement of project and customer delivery deadlines and being the primary attendee for the Operations function at all project business rhythm meetings.
As Operations Project Lead, and working closely with the functional leads within the project, the successful candidate shall provide input into project risk and schedule management as well as supporting new business opportunities and business reporting whilst providing governance and control to the internal execution of hardware manufacture and delivery
Required skills, qualifications and experience
The successful candidate shall be able to demonstrate a broad experience of a manufacturing organisation including, but not limited to, Production Management, Production Planning, Materials management & Logistic, Production / Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement.
The successful candidate shall also have experience operating within a project environment including direct involvement in project management activities such as budget control, scheduling and risk management as well as experience providing briefings into senior management.
Experience within a similar aerospace or defence organisation who operate a matrix organisation structure will be very beneficial.
A proven track record of leading and influencing teams is also essential for this role.
You will need to be able to obtain SC clearance, in order to obtain this clearance you will need to have been a resident of the UK for 5 continuous years.
