Role Overview:
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in HR. You may be studying toward your CIPD Level 5 and or seeking hands on experience, or an HR Administrator in search of the next step. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the HR Manager in all aspects of HR delivery, including but not limited to employee relations, onboarding and offboarding staff, supporting the managers to successfully manage and administer their teams, liaise with the DBS and NMC, and learning and development support. You will be involved in staff engagement and coaching the managers when they require advice. You will be fully supported, coached and developed to ensure you succeed. In return, the expectation is that you also invest in your own development through your aptitude, willingness to learn and welcoming responsibility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Probationary employees’ monitoring for compliance, and supporting the managers with the management of their new employees
- Supervision monitoring for compliance, and supporting managers with understanding how to successfully supervise their team members
- Attendance monitoring for compliance, and supporting managers to successfully manage attendance management issues where necessary, taking the lead where necessary
- Preparation of information and KPIs for the SMT
- Advising managers on employee relations matters, including investigations and meetings for grievance and disciplinary matters
- Administering, collating and analysing employee engagement surveys and forums
- Holding HR surgeries for managers and escalating issues where necessary or giving advice where appropriate
- Chairing ‘your say’ forums, in person and virtually
- Completing any ER paperwork and admin where necessary
- Monitoring the HR inbox and escalating or managing issues as appropriate at the direction of your manager
- Picking up general telephone enquiries and directing them to the appropriate person
- Maintaining People Planner and Sharepoint records to a high standard
- Managing SAR requests in the defined timescales set by the GDPR and the organisation
- Updating payroll with pertinent information including absence and suspensions
- Managing DBS and NMC referrals
- Note taking and minute taking at the request of the HR manager and SMT
- Conducting and monitoring exit interviews
Experience/Skills Required:
- Level 3 CIPD or equivalent
- Previous experience in an HR role
- Strong people skills
- Good organisational skills
- Good IT skills

Salary: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
