JOB TITLE: Equestrian Director (Residential)
DEPARTMENT: Commercial Equine
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To lead, motivate and inspire the Commercial Equine team through the delivery of a strategy that ensures outstanding student experience, equine welfare and commercial success, which in turn secures Bishop Burton College as a recognised and established as a national Centre of Excellence.
Bishop Burton College includes the Riseholme College campus and the postholder may be required to carry out duties at both campuses.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish Bishop Burton College as a National Centre of Excellence.
- Create and embed a Commercial Equine Strategy that achieves the ambitions of the College.
- Accountable for the department’s compliance and adherence to College policies and the highest standards of health, safety, safeguarding and horse welfare.
- Successfully plan and develop the commercial business to generate significant commercial income for the College.
- Develop and maintain highly effective and collaborative relationships with existing and potential stakeholders, customers and partners maximising the opportunities and benefits for the College.
- Manage change, implementing systems and policies to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Lead and develop short and long-term budgeting and financial reporting that supports the vision for the department.
- Provide exceptional, effective leadership, direction and development to motivate and equip the Commercial Equine team to achieve targets and College ambitions.
- Secure and ensure the delivery of outstanding student experience and enrichment opportunities within Commercial Equine.
- Take part in all staff College events such as Lambing Sunday and Open Farm Sunday
