We are looking for a Research Assistant to join our team working on a project that investigates the benefits of plant bioactive compounds on animal productivity in a collaborative project with academic and industrial partners?
The project addresses the huge wastage of plant crops that occur at production and processing stage, through the development of innovative and sustainable valorisation strategies that convert agri-food waste streams into next generation feed additives to increase animal health and productivity.
As a Research Assistant working on the project, you will be facilitating a successful project delivery. A main function is to support project management activities e.g. you will be in regular contact with the academic and industrial partners to make arrangements for project meetings, in person and online, for which you prepare the respective paperwork, i.e. invites, meeting agendas and minutes as well as organising in-person meetings. You will support the project progress through preparations of quarterly spending forecasts and financial claims and the consolidation of WP reports of project partners quarterly. You will also update other documents on a regular basis and contribute to the development and delivery of dissemination activities as part of the project. Further, you will be in contact with the monitoring officer for meeting arrangements, reporting, and other record-keeping.
You will work with the project lead, other members of the academic team and the industrial project partners, and will be expected to attend online and in person meetings, to support documentation of these, as well as other local events.
You will have experience of working within a research or academic/industrial administrative environment and have a BSc degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; You will also have good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
