Job Title: In Vivo Scientist
Location: Cambridge, UK
Eleven Therapeutics is on a mission to develop the next generation of nucleic acid therapeutics by harnessing the power of combinatorial chemistry and A.I., transforming drug discovery and development into a programmable processor. Our team consists of world-class scientists and entrepreneurs with a proven track record in breakthrough innovations and therapeutic R&D.
Our discovery engine integrates deep expertise in bio-engineering, chemistry, genomics and computer science. We orchestrate these technologies into highly-efficient processes for mapping the vast combinatorial space of potential oligonucleotide molecules to optimise our candidate therapeutics from the get-go. We then pursue a rigorous R&D process to ensure the pharmaceutical properties of our warheads, their delivery excipients and administration devices all fit the Target Product Profile in the most cost-effective manner. Our pipeline is rapidly expanding, focusing on a multitude of respiratory diseases, including antiviral prophylactics and non-infectious diseases of substantial unmet medical need. Our company champions Diversity and Inclusion and spans multiple geographies, operating across Cambridge (UK), Tel Aviv (Israel), and Boston (US).
We seek an experienced In Vivo Scientist to join our growing team at our Cambridge site. The ideal candidate will have an MSc degree (PhD an advantage), 3-5 years of in vivo work experience in academic or industry settings, a proven track record of planning and executing in vivo studies, strong team working skills, and stellar references. Previous experience in respiratory or metabolic diseases is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Responsible for the execution of exploratory preclinical studies, including proof-of-principle efficacy and safety assessments, translational and biomarker studies, MoA and early PK/PD.
- Leverage a variety of in vivo techniques at in-house and CRO vivarium, including end-to-end conduct of in vivo experiments, from Test Article preparation and qualification, varied routes of administration, repeat dosing protocols, repeat sampling and monitoring protocols, extensive samples collection and storage protocols for biomarkers, toxicology, PK and spatial/transcriptomic profiling.
- As a team member, contribute to planning the in vivo discovery and development programs.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in peer functional departments, including Discovery, Technology Innovation, Data Sciences, and CMC.
- Manage and coordinate CRO services associated with the pre-and post-processing of materials and samples from in-life studies.
- Collaborate with and support internal staff in the design, execution, and interpretation of in vitro, organoid, and ex vivo studies.
