General Manager @ Pumpkin Cafe & Millie's Cookies, Derby

At SSP UK we now are recruiting for a talented and experienced General Manager to lead our teams at Pumpkin Café at Derby Station and Millie's Cookies at Derbyan Shopping Centre.

We are the leading operator of restaurants, bars, cafes and food courts in travel locations. Established for more than 60 years, our operations feature a mix of food and beverage brands tailored specifically for each location. You will be joining a world-leading food service organisation with superb learning, development and progression opportunities, operating over 400 stores in the UK alone.

We are looking for a committed and driven General Manager, who is passionate about delivering consistently outstanding customer service and standards within a high-volume and fast paced environment, and can coach and develop the team to be our stars of the future. You will take ownership for the quality of service from your team, as well as the financial and operational performance of your units.

It’s as good as running your own business but with the support and fantastic development opportunities of working with a worldwide market leading company.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Previous experience of managing a diverse team of people in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Experience in coaching, training and mentoring your team to deliver excellent customer service whilst meeting financial and operational targets.
  • Awareness and previous experience of the financial controls required when running a unit - (P&L, GP, labour and waste controls, driving sales etc.)
