Job Description
Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for Rigger Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham, West Midlands.
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7:30 to 18:30, 1-hour lunch break. Saturday, 8 - 14.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble lifting gear in accordance with rigging plans.
- Attach loads to crane hooks by use of lifting equipment including spreader beams, lifting beams, and chain hoists, ensuring load balance, security and integrity.
- Bank the crane by use of recognised signals to safely direct the load to different types of locations.
- Manual handling activities.
- To work as part of the Jacking/Skidding team.
- Assist with the maintenance of the equipment.
- Supervise rigging operations.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to create and manage emergency rescue plans.
- Provide advice, recommendations and information on safety issues about climbing equipment and working at height.
- Ensure the rigging team and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of rigging equipment, and apply safe work methods.
- Supervise personnel during the load-in and load-out of rigging equipment.
Requirements:
- CSCS.
- Previous experience in similar roles.
- EICTB level 3 + ACE Card (moving Enginering load) or ACE card (steel erector card)
