About the role

This is a fixed-term role for one year, starting as soon possible, in the first instance. Research Fellows - 'Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B (salary £34,502 - £36,348 per annum including London Allowance) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.' This is a full time position (1fte) Grade 7: salary range £38,308 - £46,155 including London Allowance per annum. This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.’ We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible. About you

You will be required to: • Design and undertake laboratory-based research on the the manufacture and characterisation of a novel biomaterial • Assist with and/or perform small animal muscle implantation studies • Assess the inflammatory response of the biomaterials • Undertake in vivo physiological measurements of regenerating tissue including motion and gait analysis in small animals • Communicate and regularly report data at collaborator meetings, seminars and conferences • Collect and analyse data and work closely with other lab members to produce high-quality research publications for peer-reviwed journals
