An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Administrator to join and support the admin team at Ashford and St. Peter’s MRI unit, Surrey.
The role is based across two sites – Ashford & Chertsey - operating 4 MRI scanners. We have a large team of Radiographers and Administrators providing an efficient and professional service to patients, the Trust, and our private referrers.
The ideal candidate should be able to work in a very busy environment. The ability to multitask and work independently is advantageous. The role involves a wide range of Administrative duties across several platforms. Duties include Reception; processing patient referrals; booking of appointments; billing and general office duties.
Our large Admin team plays a pivotal role in supporting our clinical teams and patients to ensure the smooth running of the Department. Experience in a healthcare environment would be beneficial but full training will be given to the right candidate.
The hours of work are 40 per week including some weekends. The candidate will be required to provide reception and customer/patient support, deal with client queries, and assist the MRI Radiographers and book patient appointments in line with standard guidelines.

The candidate should be able to
- liaise with the clinical team to discuss the individual requirements of the patients and perform bookings accordingly.
- This job requires good communication skills for booking, and arranging day lists for the MRI team on a daily basis.
- The job will be based in both St. Peter’s and Ashford Hospitals in Surrey.
- The working hours will be flexible and over 7 days a week.
- To be successful in this role the candidate will have good communication skills both written and verbal.
- good IT and administration skills and the ability to understand and comply with MRI safety protocols.
- A flexible, organized and enthusiastic attitude is essential.
