The postholder will be the face of the Council on the beach, responsible for the day-to-day management of the beach area including checking of life saving equipment, enforcement of littering and dog control orders, responding to customer queries and liaison with the RNLI lifeguards. The post holder will be required to work variable hours per week during the week and on a weekend and Bank holidays. The applicant should have a demonstrable ability to take a sensible approach to enforcement which balances the reputation of the Borough against the needs to take enforcement action.
Applicants for should have knowledge of working with the public, good people and communications skills, must be flexible and be prepared to work additional hours and in additional locations if required to cover leave.

The pay advertised is applicable from 1st April 2023, should you start prior to this date pay rates for 2022/2023 will be paid and differ to those advertised and will be notified during the offer process.
