Bury College has an opportunity available for an experienced Electrical Installation Technician to join us on a Permanent basis, to provide support in both workshops and classrooms in a way that supports lecturing staff and enables students to gain good practical skills.
Providing technical support in the workshops and classrooms throughout practical sessions, you would be responsible for ensuring that all areas are clean and organised, maintaining a safe working environment for staff and students at all times, setting up specialist machines and equipment when required.
- Equipment must be maintained and serviced to an approved maintenance schedule (responsible to this role)

Responsible for ordering and maintaining accurate stock records and inventories for all materials, tools, equipment and machinery.
Experience required

3years’ experience working in an Electrical Installation or similar environment

Experience of using and maintaining machinery

Knowledge of current practical assessment requirements for Electrical Installation qualifications

The ability to repair and maintain the equipment and machinery and assist with the construction of assessment resources is essential.
