An exciting opportunity has arisen within the college for an assessor within our Accountancy apprenticeship provision at our Sketty Hall Business School Campus. Working as part of the Accountancy team supporting apprenticeships from initial engagement with Employers and Apprentices through to monitoring learning, support and completion of the apprenticeship with a view to future professional progression.
The main duties of the role are to carry out timely and regular progress reviews with learners, monitoring their attendance and progress against targets upon their apprenticeship programme; effectively reporting and coordinating the communication of learner progress between the Accountancy team, the apprentice and their employer.
You will work with external employers to maintain and develop professional relationships ensuring that our Accountancy provision meets their training needs within the apprenticeship. Ideally you will be familiar with all the administrative requirements of the apprenticeship programme and have a proven track record of assessing apprentices.
You will ideally hold or be willing to work towards an AAT qualification and A1 assessor/V1 verifiers’ award. Level 2 (grade A-C) or equivalent Mathematics and English qualification is essential for the post.
We are looking for someone with an ability to demonstrate and model excellent standards within the administrative requirements of the apprenticeship programme, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong team working and ILT skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and assess the progress of the learner.
