We are looking to recruit an experienced researcher to join the ConnectED (Connecting Evidence to Decision-Making) project. ConnectED is a partnership project led from the University of Bristol. The successful applicant will join an existing team to help develop the capacity of adult social care professionals make better, and more consistent use of research in decision-making at all organisational levels. Partners include Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council, South Gloucestershire Councils, AgeUK Bristol and Sirona Care and Health.
Working collaboratively, you will:
- conduct a range of activities designed to develop research use amongst social care decision-makers
- help social care professionals to undertake literature reviews and small-scale evaluations
- provide training in research methods
- lead on the development of research proposals for external funding
- support the service users and carers who are helping to make the project a success.
- you can build strong, effective relationships with a range of people from different sectors and levels of seniority.
- you understand the challenges of implementing research into front-line practice.
- you want to ensure that researchers address the things that matter to service users and carers and practitioners.
- you are familiar with a broad range of research methods, including systematic reviews.
- you are someone who can get up to speed quickly and can drive activity forward in a sustainable manner.
- you have a track record of excellence in research and strong project management skills.
