An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse to join our team of nurses working within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Diagnostic Imaging Nurses provide high quality patient focused care, their roles and responsibilities are varied within the Diagnostic Imaging and Theatre setting. The role includes assisting the Consultant Radiologists who undertake interventional procedures for both outpatients and inpatients within the department and theatre. The role therefore will also include undertaking a Scrub Nurse /Practitioner role within the theatre setting, the booking of patients and monitoring patients during procedures. The unique and varied nature of the specialty means there is always something new and interesting to learn as new procedures are developed and undertaken. Lead aprons are worn for several hours at a time, and there is a certain amount of manual handling of patients, beds and trolleys.
