The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are currently on BAC or EMC terms, you will retain your current employer but will transfer to a JLR contract and the associated terms and conditions.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As part of Jaguar Land Rover’s Modern Luxury aspirations, we are developing world class PEPS and Security Systems to ensure we deliver exceptional products and experiences for our customers. Within the security delivery team the major commodity is the Passive Entry System consuming over 80% of the teams time and attention. This complex wireless system integrates with many parts of the vehicle, which requires close integration and thus working methods and relationships. In-line the ever-changing nature of the Vehicle Access System we have embarked on a new passive entry system which will widen our stakeholders to include professional bodies such as the CCC and major corporations such as Apple and Google; This brings a new challenge to the team and thus strong alignment is essential.
As the ‘PEPS Project Lead’ you’ll drive this alignment and project as a whole forward through every aspect of delivery, whether that be PCDS milestone requirements, technical blockers, negotiating with other commodities / teams, resolving timing conflicts to keep the project moving at all times. Working hand-in-hand with the associated stakeholders and the extended PEPS team will be critical for a successful delivery. All the team will need to work together to bring this home and we need your help to do this.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Key Accountabilties and Rsponsiblities
Provide lifecycle management of multiple commodities within the PEPS system, Lead suppliers/stakeholders to produce work packages to meet programme timing gateways and technical delivery points.-
Responsible for the vehicle level end-to-end technical delivery plan for key systems, identifying inter-dependencies and maturation versus customer requirements, throughout virtual and physical test phases.

Agile advocate within the team, contribute to backlog refinement, sprint planning and showcase activities with the wider team

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all requirements are in place for the next-up sprints.

Present and inform wider parties on technical Issue resolution of complex systems

Leadership experience of managing a small team through technical challenges

Able to be very self-sufficient and generate a work plan with little or no supervision when presented with an end goal.

Oversee alignment on, and subsequent delivery of, Minimum Viable Product into both virtual and physical verification and validation through life of Programme.

Keep accurate plans of progress and next steps in line with an Agile project management approach.
Key Interactions
Lead overall project status and present out to the wider business on this.-
Lead team huddles on technical issues to generate work plan R&R split and monitor progress against this.

Daily contact and information provision to local Module Project Engineers and Programme teams

Working closely with fellow team members to combine knowledge and split tasks to gain completion

Work with the vehicle test team to ensure all component testing is completed on time and forward looking plans are in place.

Utilise Agile methodologies and Atlassian toolsets to ensure efficient product planning and transparency for all stakeholders

Regular feed-back to Security Systems Product Owner to ensure system status is known and clear.

Regular stakeholder engagement to align plans and gain agreement on status to be prevented.

Contact with other areas such as STA, Finance, ERS, Purchasing and Packaging etc as required.

Update company metrics/status requirements such as the Mainline Integration Plan, Confluence pages, impediments, Aims etc.

Essential:
Technical Project Management Experience-
Excellent Communication Skills

Ability to negotiate with multiple parties to gain common agreements

An effective team player who supports team members
Desirable:
Knowledge of RF communication methodologies and experience working with these.-
Knowledge of PCDS delivery

Experience in automotive vehicle component integration.

Experience / Appreciation of the Agile Project Management framework
