The role
Learning Experience and Technology (LXT) contains teams which work together collaboratively to design, deliver, and manage a sustainable and unified end-to-end learner experience of technology. We are seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) professional to support the core user-led research, analysis, design, development and user centred continuous improvement of student-facing innovative digital products for a diverse range of users.
The UX Researcher role is a new position within the team and will enhance the ability of the Online Student Experience team to ensure user-centred design principles and processes are fundamental to the development of new products and the continuous improvement of existing ones.
The OU campus is based in Milton Keynes however we are happy to offer flexible working for these opportunities, with occasional travel to Milton Keynes required.
Skills and experience
This role will suit you if you:
- Possess a higher education qualification or at least 2 years of directly relevant work experience.
- Have demonstrable experience of embedding user-centred design processes and practices whilst also having experience of the application of user-centred design principles in product design and enhancement.
- Possess previous experience of designing and running usability testing sessions.
- Are experienced in reporting and presenting your research methodologies and analysis to sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
