We have an exciting opportunity at Sense for a Support Worker to join our Day service at our Sense Centre in Leeds and Wakefield, this is the perfect role for a support worker wanting flexible day time hours to suit your family needs.
Contracts are flexible with working hours of 09.30 – 15.30 which may suit those looking for a full time post or those with limited availability, parents with children at school, those wishing to work 3 days per week. Contracts are on a permanent basis with weekly hours to suit (18 - 30).
We currently work Mon – Fri 09.30 – 15.30 providing a variety of social activities and education-based sessions designed to stimulate and challenge the people we support. We also work either 1 Saturday or Sunday every 6 weeks or so (10.00-16.00) supporting our wonderful children’s short break service or adult day service. There is the opportunity to further engage in our community services if you so wish.
Sense Centre Leeds and Wakefield provides a variety of social activities and education-based sessions designed to stimulate and challenge the people we support. We are located within the heart of the local community, and we organise trips out that might include to the swimming pool, visiting parks and going shopping.
The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such. However, as a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
