Logistics Co-ordinator
Based: Newton Aycliffe, County Durham (On-Site)

- Rapidly expanding European distribution and several new product launches in the UK and Europe scheduled for 2023 will provide a fantastic opportunity for a junior Logistics professional to get multi-region experience.
The Role: as a result of an internal INEOS transfer INEOS Hygienics are currently recruiting for a UK based Logistics professional to support UK and Europe operations. The postholder will work in close collaboration with Warehousing, Customer Services and Supply Chain colleagues as well as 3PL providers to ensure that all finished product is despatched to the customer in a timely manner, respecting customer order dates and specific requirements
Accountabilities:
- Support with the development and preparation of a distribution plan for INEOS Hygienics that considers the customer requirements whilst maximising process alignment.
- Drive the success of the Distribution plan by challenging internal departments to complete all transactions prior to any stock being moved between sites or to customers.
- Maximise the use of transport and work closely with key freight forwarders and 3PL providers to devise methods of achieving high success rate whilst minimising the costs to the business.
- Be the focal point of the business in dealing with freight forwarders, organising transport routes and dealing with any issues arising from distribution complaints
- Work with external partners to ensure that all necessary transport documentation is prepared in full to avoid any possible issues delaying deliveries or additional costs.
- Achieve and maintain excellent working relationships with internal/external customers and where possible leverage that relationship to the benefit of INEOS.
- Keep the SAP system updated with freight forwarder rates as well as deal with any queries to invoices received from suppliers that are based on these rates
- Update the relevant databases with the required info to populate department dashboards and data requirements, understand the data to be able to present or discuss within the department or with Site Management Team.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- IT Literate, competent in the use of Microsoft packages
- SAP experience in a relevant field (Highly Desirable)
- 2+ years experience in an office administration role.
- 2+ years experience working within a Warehouse/Logistics role and an understanding of transport processes
- Level 3 qualification (A-Levels, Level 3 NVQ or equivalent) ideally in a Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration field.
