The Centre for Academic Language and Development is an ambitious Centre located within the Faculty of Arts. The Centre has a key role to play in the University’s internationalisation strategy, but also in the student experience more widely. Originally conceived as a Centre with an audience of solely international students, it now provides opportunities for the development of academic language and literacy for all students at all levels of study, both pre-and post-enrolment, through a range of face-to-face and blended learning.
We are looking to recruit two experienced administrators to be part of the student education team supporting our rapidly growing International Foundation Programme and Academic Language and Literacy provision during the academic year, and the Presessional during the summer.
You will need to demonstrate excellent administration, IT, organisational and interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to work effectively under pressure, with the ability to manage varying deadlines and workloads effectively. You should enjoy working within a team and possess excellent customer service skills, with a strong customer care focus and have the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels in the Centre, Faculty and wider University. Knowledge of the student lifecycle would be beneficial.
