The Role
As a Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assisting the people we support with all aspects of daily living, including helping to prepare meals, providing personal care, shopping and domestic tasks. Our teams adopt a person-centred approach to provide the highest quality support to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, with a focus on maintaining and improving independence.
The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same and the people we support have a wide range of interest including going bowling, swimming, dancing and to their exercise classes along with more leisurely activities of gardening and arts and crafts. We'll be looking to you to be actively involved in their hobbies and support them to explore new interests. Some of the young adults we support attend college and with your help you will enable them meeting their peers.
Your support will enable individuals to not only maintain their independence and continue to live in their own home; you’ll also help them to play an active part of their community too.
