Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity that doesn’t come around often! Our GXO site in Northampton is looking for a Quality Control First Line Manager to join their team on full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will improve and maintain quality standards whilst coaching and influencing the quality control team and meeting site KPI’s. You will be a key part of our operations ensuring each and every article gets delivered to our customers in excellent condition.


You will work any 5 days out of 7, on the afternoon shift – 15:00-23:00.


Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,900 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll also have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.


What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Undertake thorough quality control checks ensuring a high level of detail when reporting on findings
  • Perform accuracy checks on other functional areas of the department and communicate results in a timely fashion
  • Lead and manage the daily organization for the quality team ensuring fair workload distribution and individual KPIs are met
  • Investigate current processes to identify improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reporting ensuring the highest level of accuracy


What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Hands-on managerial experience working in fast paced environment
  • Ability to influence and lead teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
