An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Crown Vets Fort William for up to 1 year Fixed Term Contract, working within a mixed practice offering a varied caseload from assisting with the large animal work to 1st opinion caseloads giving you ample opportunity to develop your skills in these areas and fully utilising your skillset to be the nurse you trained to be!
At Crown, no two days will be the same, but some daily duties will include:
- Inpatient Nursing
- Anaesthetic Monitoring
- Nurse Consults
- Outreach Clinics
- Assisting with large animal work
- Assist with Dentals
- Theatre duties
Full time is up to 40 hours per week across 5 days between the hours of 0830-1815 with 1:5 on call weekends and covering 1:5 Saturday mornings in clinic 0830-1230. We can consider part time and job share for this role.
Up to £31,000 negotiable D.O.E
Relocation allowance of up to £1,000
Mixed practice, 1st Opinion situated in the west highlands of Scotland. We are a Tier 2 RCVS accredited practice and RVN training facility. We offer general surgery, dental surgery and diagnostics e.g., ultrasound, endoscopy and dental x-ray. We also offer acupuncture. We have the following equipment - multi parameter, endoscope, digital x-ray, IDEXX blood machines, Tonapen, ultrasound and Intravenous fluid administration pumps. 2 major Ski centres and the highest mountain in the UK on the doorstep. Only 2hrs from Glasgow and 1.5hrs from Inverness the capital of the highlands. Overnight train service to London along with some great schools. A team of 6 vets, 5 RVNs and one Auxiliary. We take part in regular charity events and attend local agricultural shows
Must be RCVS registered, ideal candidate would be flexible, passionate about providing the highest level of patient and client care. Enthusiastic, motivated and a team player. Although the role is fixed term initially there may be potential for it to become permanent.
