Our Operations and IT Degree Apprenticeship is a great opportunity for someone who would like to start a career with one of the world’s most successful insurance companies. You’ll be able to earn and learn in an apprenticeship role that will give you a job with real responsibility from day one, whilst studying for a fully funded degree.
What can I look forward to?
As an Operations and IT Apprentice you will have the opportunity to rotate across several key functions across Operations and IT which include Dev Ops, Data, Innovation Foundry, Continuous Improvement & Automation, Cyber and Service Management. This will help you understand the way our business operates and will help build your portfolio of technical and business skills. On your final rotation you will be given an opportunity to specialise in your preferred function.
You will be supported and challenged throughout the program whilst working on a number of projects and initiatives ensuring you put the customer at the heart of all we do, embed the Zurich culture and set you on your way to a successful career with us.
Alongside work you will complete a Level 6 BSc Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship with the University of Gloucestershire. The apprenticeship will take 36 months plus an End Point Assessment. Rest assured; we will support your study time alongside your permanent role.

What you’ll need
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 including Maths and English
A professional attitude with a positive ‘can do’ approach to your work
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build strong working relationships
The ability to work in a team - you will need to work with other departments and consult with others, teamwork is key to our success to keep all the moving parts turning
Effective personal planning and organisation - it can get quite busy at times so you will need to be organised.
The ability to handle varying workloads and pressures
