About the role
We are looking for a Trainee Production Technician to join our team.
This is a developmental role with first stages of working being within either our Surgical Accessory Assembly team or Generator Build team. This role is responsible for assisting our Production Technicians, Operations and Engineering teams with manufacturing processes, device and platform builds - tasks include assembling Creo products in accordance with controlled manufacturing processes, instruction and training provided in a timely and efficient manner.
The role must ensure all products are built in accordance with current medical device regulatory requirements and agreed development and training plans are in place to support this need.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate assembly of Creo components and products in accordance with prescribed methods and practices as will be defined by the line manager or training plan.
- To assist product development and technician staff in the development of new and technically innovative Creo product and component designs, supporting and/or conducting feasibility studies, tests and evaluations as necessary.
- To provide assistance in the evaluation and qualification of new assembly equipment and manufacturing processes as required by process engineering.
- To plan and execute work in an orderly fashion as necessary to achieve timely goals and objectives as agreed for each assembly task and/or product development activity.
- To aid in the anticipation of all potential technical problems and ensure that solutions are identified and implemented in an accurate and timely fashion.
- To work in accordance with Creo Medical quality procedures and practises and partake in quality programmes for the establishment of Creo ISO 13485 2003/2012 registration and maintenance of thereafter.
- Work with all other company employees as a team member and not limit work to any particular discipline or function, be flexible and prepared to take on other duties as might reasonably be expected of you from time to time.
- Ensure that your line manager is kept fully informed of all situations be they technical, organisational or personal.
- To ensure that all documentation, including drawings, sketches, calculations, records and test data are properly filed and maintained and to keep a full and comprehensive log book.
- To maintain a clean and tidy workspace at all times, assisting others in maintaining the cleanliness of the product assembly and tissue test rooms remaining vigilant at all times for possible causes of contamination, raising any concerns in this regard to your line manager.
- Attend company meetings and meet with suppliers and visiting consultants as and when necessary.
- To partake in any relevant training programmes as deemed necessary.
- Promote a positive and progressive attitude in all work activities
What we are looking for:
- Relevant experience in a practical role requiring excellent dexterity and intricate handling/assembly of micro components, using microscopes, electronic and mechanical equipment would be advantageous
- Proactive with a ‘Can-Do’ attitude
- Team player
- Good written and verbal English
- Ability to understand and work to technical documents and instructions
- Proficient IT skills – familiarity with MS Office Word and Excel would be an advantage
- Prior cleanroom work experience would be advantageous
