The Schools of Life and Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, and Pharmacy operate across the Joseph Bank Laboratories (JBL) and Minster House which house research and training facilities for the Schools and are complemented by teaching laboratories in the purpose-built Janet Lane-Claypon (JLC) Building. The JBL Schools Technical Team provide laboratory teaching and research support across these buildings for the students and staff within the University.
Currently we have a vacancy for an experienced senior technician to support our undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses in the fields of biomedical, biochemical and molecular sciences, and microbiology. We are seeking an individual with specialist skills across these areas to augment the multi-functional team that maintains facilities and provides high quality support for our taught courses and research. As Senior Technician, you will have experience of co-ordinating individuals and resources, demonstrate a dedication to working within multidisciplinary teams and an enthusiasm for success. Where applicable training in specific techniques and processes will form part of your personal development plan.

demonstrate practical experience and knowledge of a variety of biomedical, biochemical, microbiological and molecular techniques
