We have an exciting opportunity to join DDC OS as a Business Development Manager. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients and recognising new opportunities with existing clients.
Working hours are between Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm – 37.5 hours per week.
This is a homebased role with frequent travel to our offices based in Worksop, Corby, Birmingham & Sheffield, along with travel to our clients and some international travel when needed. It’s desirable that you are based within a commutable distance of one of our offices, but this is not essential.
We will give you
- A starting salary of £40,000-£50,000 dependent on experience and a commission scheme
- 28 days holiday per year, with more days earned for continued service

Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager you will seek out and develop new business opportunities from agreed markets utilising our full solution portfolio. You will be responsible for the following:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with partners, suppliers and key stakeholders to create new business opportunities
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including target markets, or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Seek out new business contacts from attending networking events, social engagements and sales channel partnership management
- Proactively administer prospects through the full sales process
- Create and deliver partnership and sales engagement plans that build our industry network, credibility and seek out referrals
- Introduce specialist resource to the prospective client(s) to help secure new business opportunities
- Create engaging sales collateral with Marketing
- Support the creation of and present compelling win strategies and personalised solution propositions in line with agreed sales parameters
- Present effectively at sales meetings
- Support and lead the RFP process for new opportunities
- Understand the needs of potential and existing clients and provide a plan to meet these
- Manage, coach and mentor any assigned direct report and the wider sales team and agree objectives
- Working collaboratively with key client stakeholders of existing clients you will create and be accountable for the delivery of a joint account plan focussed on ECNA (Existing Customer, New Activity)
- Host new prospect visits to support the sales process at all DDC global locations
- Monitor your own performance against agreed targets
What do you need?
- You should be a confident, well-rounded, and dynamic individual with demonstratable experience within outsourcing or allied services
- Driven to seek new business with previous experience within a business development or similar roles including field sales, area sales, regional sales or territory sales, with a proven record of managing lengthy and complex deals
- Proven track record of selling outsourced or complex B2B solutions
- Experience within the contact centre, BPO, KPO or data services industry is preferred
- Ability to generate and nurture own sales opportunities through various methods, including networking, personal prospecting, and attending events
- As well as having formal sales training, you will need to be a polished, well-presented salesperson who can deal with people at senior levels
- You need to be self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised within a dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate in an engaging manner with the ability to offer a consultative approach when speaking with prospective clients
- Competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experienced in using CRM applications
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
