WRc, RSK Group, is seeking an International Project Manager to join our Technical Consulting team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a home-based role with an ad-hoc requirement to attend the office in Swindon. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, ideally with an engineering or utilities (gas, water etc) background, who is seeking a role that will provide the opportunity to travel internationally.
Projects are international so frequent travel will be required, typically around a 50/50 split monthly, depending on the project. For example, recent projects include travel to the Middle East and South Africa.
The Technical Consulting team deliver projects that are interesting and varied ranging from £15K - £200K in size focusing on trialling new technologies and producing solutions for leakage, flooding, environmental modelling and wastewater for example. You will play an important part in supporting exciting projects that improve the environment including sustainability and better-quality water.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver projects successfully whilst providing a professional, first-class, consistent and effective project management service to the clients and all stakeholders

Act as the key, day-to-day client interface managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communication

Coordinate all resources for the flawless execution of projects, motivating project teams to deliver exceptional service to the clients

Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

Ensure adherence to governance, processes, and systems throughout the project lifecycle

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in line with company standards and procedures

International travel
Person Specification
-
Must be able and willing to travel internationally on a frequent basis

Demonstrable project management experience, successfully delivering projects to the defined scope, cost and quality

Experience managing a diverse portfolio of projects with multiple clients to often demanding timescales

Excellent communicator with a proven record of building strong relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders

Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 products, particularly Excel and Word
-
Working towards or the desire to work towards a professional project management qualification is highly desirable

Experience of using business analysis tools such as PowerBI is highly desirable

Engineering or scientific background would be beneficial as well as experience in a consultancy environment, ideally in the utilities sector

Salary and Benefits

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
