Are you an outstanding scholar who is passionate about inter-disciplinary research and teaching in the international politics of climate change? Are you able to use your expertise to support or complement existing strengths in the School of Politics and International Studies? Are you an experienced leader looking for a strong international, political and interdisciplinary approach to a critical global challenge?
The School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) is looking for an established leader in the international politics of climate change. We would be particularly interested to see applications from scholars who are developing interdisciplinary research and teaching competencies relating to the governance of climate change and/or to just transition.
The School covers excellent research and teaching across the sub-fields of politics, politics and computational analysis, international relations and global development and is looking increasingly to the complex relations between these fields under the strategic orientation of ‘the politics of global challenges’.
You will be expected to lead/help lead in your area of research and teaching, making important contributions to the School’s strategic direction, particularly inter-faculty interdisciplinary research and teaching on the climate crisis. You will help deliver both undergraduate and postgraduate modules and help recruit and supervise our expanding postgraduate research community.
With a completed PhD in a relevant subfield of Politics or International Relations, or an aligning field in the context of the international politics of climate change, you will also have evidence of an established reputation in the international politics of climate change, with a strong sustained record of internationally outstanding scholarly publications relating to the international politics of climate change.
