We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Heysham 1 Station to hire a new Station Procurement Engineer with us at EDF.
As part of this interesting and rewarding position you would be working within the Integrated Supply Chain function reporting to the Lead Procurement Engineer, with the key responsibility being to ensure that technical specification of the components included within the company spares catalogue are suitable to meet and maintain the design integrity of the Station.

What you’ll be doing
As the Station Procurement Engineer with sound engineering knowledge and judgement, you’ll be responsible for:
Specifying and evaluating nuclear power station spares against original design-
Providing support to the Supply Chain Materials Group
-
Prioritising spares and materials requirements for planned and emergent work

Develop and review quality documentation prior to purchase and repair

Complete Engineering Change item equivalency to support changes to components
- Continuously assessing documentation and processes and implementing improvements
Who you are
To be suitable for this role, we’re looking for you to hold a HNC or degree level in electrical, C&I or mechanical engineering. Nuclear plant experience, or similar environment, although not essential, would be of benefit.
You’ll be a forward thinker with the ability to work both independently and within a team dynamic. These skills will then be utilised when representing the station during supplier visits and benchmarking with other EDF sites to advance the promotion and development of the procurement engineering business processes.
