Achilleus Security are NOW welcoming applications in East Anglia from people that would like to join us as Part Time Casual Event / Football SIA Door Supervisors, our team members are a vital part of any event or venue’s Security, Safety, and Customer Service Team. So, this position is only open to the right candidates, that have an enthusiasm and a desire to work, and those that can meet the company’s strict recruitment criteria.
We have only recently commenced recruitment in East Anglia due to being awarded a large contract in Ipswich, so we are recruiting new team members to join us to work at this new contract and also at some of the counties major events that includes both inside and outside events and venues, throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Greater London, the Home Counties including on occasion UK wide.
We understand that some may only be interested in working Locally in Suffolk and Norfolk, and it will be your choice should you wish to work outside those areas, but the work is available to those candidates that would like to join us as FREE Travel is offered there and back.
The type of work is always varied and is as and when required, but we have a substantial amount of work available to those team members that are willing to travel and also on occasion stay away.
Our Pay Rates for Event / Football SIA Door Supervisors are: £12.05 to £16.00 per hour depending on venue and role.
We fully understand the Security Industry and the needs of our team members, and as such we really don’t mind you working for other companies as long as people act professionally and meet their commitments with us that’s what is most important. Our team of Event / Football SIA Door Supervisors must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Spectator Safety or be working towards this qualification or be prepared to achieve one for free with our support.

Our Rates of Pay Are:
- Team members that don’t hold or are working towards a Level 2 in Spectator Safety £12.05 p/h
- Team members that hold a Level 2 in Spectator Safety £12.61 p/h
- We are also looking for car / minibus drivers* £11.00ph for driving hours
- All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
- Minimum 5 Hours Pay for every shift
- Time and Half / double pay on public holidays
*Conditions do apply, Full Clean Driving license, Age etc

Applicants For This Position Must Be:
- Over 18 Years of age
- Have a good command of the English Language both written and verbal
- Hold a Level 2 or 3 Spectator Safety Qualification or Equivalent or be prepared to be working towards this qualification for free.
- Must Hold a Valid SIA Door Supervisors License
- Willing to work as part of a growing team.
- Prepared to develop their skills for the role via Continued Professional Development with our support
- Any work offered in London or Home Counties will include free travel

Our Pay Rates for Part Time Event / Football SIA Door Supervisors are from £12.05 to £16.00 per hour for SIA Licensed Door Supervisors – PAYE Only.
We pay above National Minimum Wage Rates, and pay rates are dependent on position, qualification, venue, and role, and 99% of the assignments offer a 5-hour minimum pay (call time), All our team members are employed on a PAYE Tax basis, and sadly due to HMRC Guidelines we do not except those that are Self Employed even with a UTR number.
WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES
Achilleus Security have been supplying Event / Football SIA Door Supervisors since its inception and we fully understand the needs of the modern-day UK Security Industry and the needs of our team members, and we also understand the skills and attributes that our team members require to be able to carry out their roles efficiently and effectively.
Unlike other companies we really don’t mind you working for other companies as long as people act professionally and meet their commitments with us that’s what is most important.
Our Event / Football SIA Door Supervisor’s Duties may include:
- General Customer Services, including emotional and volatile situations.
- Searching of people and locations
- Crowd Management
- Segregation of fans
- Physical Intervention / Restraint
- Conflict Management & dealing with aggression
- Monitoring / managing ingress and egress points.
- Providing Information and direction.
- Ensuring crowd safety plans and procedures are adhered to.
- Reporting any suspicious behaviour.
- Monitoring Crowds for distress, overcrowding and disorder.
- Ingress control – ticket validation, accreditation checks, and queries.
- Egress control – Observing safe egress from areas, including emergency evacuation.
- Reporting and recording details of accidents, irregularities, near misses, or incidents.
- Responding to accidents, incidents as directed.
- Maintaining safe working environments, and health and safety management.

WORKING IN OTHER AREAS SUCH AS GREATER LONDON, OR COUNTRYWIDE.
We are lucky enough to provide Security & Stewarding services to some of the country’s largest events and venues and stadiums and events, that include Wembley Stadium, Twickenham Stadium, we work at Ipswich Town Football Club, as well as Queens Park Rangers to name a few, we also work events such as Football, Rugby, Boxing, Music Festivals, Concerts and Public Events.
The majority of shifts will be outside Norfolk, we have a large client in Ipswich and as such will involve a fair amount of travel, however we will always provide travel FREE OF CHARGE, and for some assignments that are further afield we may pay travel, and this will be discussed at time of booking.
Some events such as festivals that may be further afield may involve staying away, and camping, but assistance and support will be given to those that are interested.
