WeAreGo have a unique opportunity for an experienced Sales & Marketing Account Manager to join our small but growing Agency.
If you’re a successful Sales & Marketing Account Manager with experience of managing and delivering cross channel marketing campaigns, who is ready to become part of a leadership team and achieve attractive performance bonuses at an ambitious and growing agency, then this just might be the perfect opportunity for you.
You’ll need to have an expert knowledge and understanding of marketing for SME brands. You’ll have a solid track record in understanding what work is required to deliver identified marketing projects and how to translate those requirements into high performing programs.
You’ll see the bigger picture and know where the work you’re managing fits within that picture. If you don’t know, you’ll know how to find out! You’ll be highly self-motivated, proactive, and obsess about scheduling, deadlines and results. You’ll know who needs to do what, when and how.
You’ll be great at knowing the difference between your purpose and your task.
This won’t be your first sales & marketing position; it won’t be your first experience of account management in a marketing field. You will need to understand both marketing and account management.
You’ll be the linchpin in a team. Providing leadership, setting the pace and managing the standards of work delivered.
WeAreGo is a lean, ambitious agency that has been established for over five years and is now building what will become one of the best, Midlands based digital marketing agencies for SMEs (we’ll explain the route to us achieving this fully when we meet!). This is an interesting and dynamic role. You’ll get to use your sales & marketing skills by executing hands-on elements of the work yourself. Your core purpose is to drive and deliver results and be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing sales. Ultimately, you should be able to help grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships.

The Job
As our Sales & Marketing Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
- Planning and driving the delivery of client campaign plans
- Creating and implementing aspects of the marketing delivery yourself
- Monitoring and reporting results using our agency platform
- Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
- Suggesting actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
Our active clients typically consist of professional services and construction SMEs, our portfolio also features clients within professional sports and we plan to expand our active portfolio within this sector.
Working across a number of industries, you’ll need to have the maturity and confidence to engage effectively with clients and the ability to efficiently develop a deep understanding of their market and target clients.
What you’ll be doing
Your day to day tasks will include (but are by no means limited to) the following:
- Defining the delivery priorities in partnership with the business owner
- Creating, commissioning and managing the work internally
- Client management and delivering aspects of the sales & marketing plan
- Monitoring, optimising and reporting results
- Supporting and shaping new business pitches
About you
The successful candidate is likely to meet most/all of the following criteria:
- A genuine passion for marketing and delivering results
- Experience of delivering results for a portfolio of SME clients
- A good grounding and successful track record in managing the delivery of marketing activities
- Skills and experience in on and offline marketing both strategy and delivery including:
- Websites
- E-commerce
- Paid Search
- Social media marketing
- Email
- Print
- An eye for detail and quality.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service oriented
- Brilliant time management skills.
