You’ll be proactive in assisting Project Managers in the setup, review, reporting and closure of their projects, whilst assisting Project Accountants in the processing of workflow approvals and regular reviews of project budgets.
You'll thrive in an environment where you are working on a wide range of projects and provides you with plenty of variation and challenge. You may be looking to develop into a more senior project accounting, project management or process/system support role in the future, for which we can provide you with training support.
Following extensive training your main responsibilities will include supporting the Project Accountant/Senior Project Accountant and Project Support Officers in activities such as:

Setting up projects in UKCEH’s business system (Workday) and SharePoint

Processing workflow approvals

Generating invoicing schedules and producing expenditure statements to support customer invoices

Making project revisions as necessary

Assisting project managers in the appropriate use of systems, reports and budgeting tools

Resolving adhoc financial processing and reporting queries
Here are some essential skills we are looking for:

Proficient in numeracy and understanding of the importance of budgetary control

Knowledge and/or experience of using finance systems

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work effectively
We would be delighted if you also had the following skills/experience:

Partial/Full qualification in management or project accounting

Experience with Workday business system

Educated to a degree level
