Hours of work: 9:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional out of hours work as required to meet project demands

Introduction:
Pinsent Masons Vario provides a range of professional services to our clients. These include flexible legal provision, diversity & inclusion consultancy, legal project management, legal technology consultancy and managed legal services.
We have developed a new Paralegal Centre of Excellence, which brings together a range of paralegal skills and capabilities, which provides a variety of services to our lawyers and clients.
Purpose of Role:
You will be working as part of a team in the Paralegal Centre of Excellence, supporting our lawyers with a variety of technical, administrative and client relationship tasks. Within the Centre of Excellence there will be opportunities to work across all practice areas. There are currently vacancies for roles that will have a focus on:
- Projects (inc. Construction); and
- Insurance, Regulation & Products.
The paralegals' work will include drafting and preparation of documents, the management of documents and the management of client reporting systems. This is a highly varied job requiring a flexible attitude.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Preparing and/or reviewing documents including (but not limited to) building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, novations, deeds of assignment, notices of assignment.
- Reviewing investment fund or construction documentation to prepare due diligence reports.
- Data room management/assistance including uploading documents, redactions, project management, admin
- Assisting in large transitioning projects for clients. This may include (a) working with contract automation solutions, (b) assisting in the development and management of online workflow solutions (c) effectively managing substantial document amendment exercises
- Management of documents including sorting, reviewing, categorising, redacting, bundling, indexing, uploading, filing.
- Arranging execution of documents (in hard copy and/or using DocuSign)
- Managing and updating case management systems
- Assist with ongoing queries in respect of deals / ensuring all lawyers are kept up to date with all that is happening on their transactions at all times.
- Assisting in preparation of client training materials
- Conducting general legal research
- Attending meetings to take notes and provide general assistance
- Other ad-hoc duties and tasks as dictated by the business and client needs
- General administration tasks and assisting fee earners with other ad-hoc duties
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in any discipline
Relevant experience:
- Previous Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience is essential
- Customer service and/or administrative experience is essential
- Experience of working in a fast-paced professional services environment is desirable

- Strong people skills and ability to project credible and professional image
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with all levels of staff
- Project management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent organisational skills with acute attention to detail
- Ability to achieve deadlines
- IT literate with a good knowledge and high degree of competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
