We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Yard Sales Assistant at our Harlow Bros Branch in Nottingham. This is a fast-paced working environment working within a well-established team.
Harlow's has recently transitioned from a family-owned business to an Employee-owned business. The Harlow family wanted to ensure that the ethos and service which has been a major factor in the company’s success, would continue for decades to come. We are looking for someone with the following experience/qualifications:
- Ability to identify and locate products quickly and accurately
- Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers
- Ability to self-motivate, organise, and execute tasks
- Ability to work safely and cleanly
- Timber knowledge - desirable
- Machine capability - desirable
- Forklift License - desirable
The hours of work are Mon-Fri 7:30am to 5pm, alternate Saturday mornings 8am to 12pm.
Overtime payable after 39 hours a week.
You will report to the Branch Management team.
As a Yard Sales Assistant your primary responsibilities would be:
- To provide a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers in branch and at delivery destinations, always promoting a positive company image
- Identifying, picking, processing, and issuing goods accurately and to deadlines, working from written pick notes and job sheets
- Manual rack filling with timber and sheet materials
- Housekeeping of warehouses and yard
- Employee ‘Perks’ Platform – PERKBOX
- Employee assistance programme
- In House Training and Recognised Qualifications
