Have you thought about working within prison healthcare?
Prisons are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work - if you’re looking for a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day in an environment that never stands still, then this is it!
You will be providing outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, well-being and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
Throughout this position, you will deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks. You’ll make a real difference as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice Competency Framework following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.
You will be a qualified Nursing Associate who can demonstrate entry to the NMC register with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever-changing as some of your responsibilities will include completing wing medication rounds, primary care clinics and emergency response.
You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.
You’ll receive an hourly pay rate of £17.98. We offer a whole host of additional benefits such as: free DBS check, free uniform, an extensive training and induction structure for all employees along with an employee recognition scheme (for anyone you refer into a permanent role).
It doesn’t stop there… we also offer a company pension scheme which we as Practice Plus Group also pay into, NHS blue light card, discounted Costco memberships, access to Boundless memberships for attractions and parks, shopping discounts, free eye tests for computer screen users, and an 24/7 employee assistance helpline.
