We are looking for a new member of our well-established and experienced PBS team who will be based across Hampshire, Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, London and Buckinghamshire.
We know that having the right level of qualification in a PBS related field is important but not as important as having the right person. So, if you have or are willing to work towards formal qualifications and ongoing CPD and clinical supervision in PBS then we want to hear from you.
Our Compassion First, approach to implementing PBS as a framework, requires a strong commitment to MacIntyre’s values (our DNA)
A PBS Specialists role has three clear strands:
- Comprehensive functional behaviour assessment – understanding a person’s learning history and how this impacts on them now and how the current environment supports learning and engagement
- Developing with teams and families a therapeutic model of PBS that supports proactively to identify and overcome barriers to learning and engagement. This includes working alongside the person’s circle of support and other best practice colleagues to implement the person’s plans and create an ‘enabling environment’ as described by MacIntyre’s DNA.
- Specialist risk assessment and in depth knowledge and support in relation to our Human Right led approach to supporting crisis level behaviours safely and the use of all restrictive practice
Could you be the right person, if so please get in touch:
