Job Description
We are looking for an assistant to help our busy Science Animated editorial team with the following tasks:
· Administrative tasks (this will be roughly 70% of the role)
· Checking voiceovers against scripts and for quality
· Sourcing voiceover artists
· Creating subtitle files (SRT)
· Improving scripts and visual suggestions
· Checking animations against pre-defined quality criteria
· Occasional copy writing
· Ad-hoc project tasks assigned by Project Managers
· Proofreading scripts
· Writing briefs and liaising with writers
This is an initial 6-month contract but there is a strong possibility of further work for the right candidate. For this reason, you must live within commuting distance of our offices in Westend, Stonehouse.
Essential requirements:
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Solid proofreading experience
· Excellent administrative skills
· Demonstrable ability to follow instructions
· Strong IT skills
Desirable:
· Science background
· Writing experience, preferably Science Communication
