International Sales Assistant
Role Summary
We are seeking a customer service and sales support specialist to join our UK/EU team. This role will be instrumental in providing outstanding customer support for the brands we sell across all channels of our UK/EU business. Our world-class American brands include ban.do, kate spade new york, and Vera Bradley. Role Type and Location:
- This is Not a Remote Position. Relocation Expenses Will Not Be Reimbursed
- In Office Position – United Kingdom, Braintree area
- Full-time, Salaried, Exempt (40 hours per week)
- Salary: £18,000.00 to £22,000.00 /year
Responsibilities:
- Assist sales team and sales agents by gathering and shipping samples, preparing for meetings, and communicating marketing initiatives as directed by US team
- Attend account meetings, assisting the key account manager in strategic product pitches, and recording and sharing customer feedback in a detailed and organized manner
- Support key account manager by communicating and organizing stock availability and call offs/forecasting
- Cultivate relationships and grow sales in assigned house accounts
- Identify inventory opportunities to increase sales
- Receive and process wholesale and retail orders via phone, email, and web, according to customers’ desired delivery dates, stock volumes, and/or new product launch dates
- Use creative and problem-solving skills to optimize customer satisfaction
- Take ownership of UK office administrative processes and procedures and look for opportunities for greater efficiency, streamlining them as necessary
- Sales reporting
- Completion of set-up documents
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers and sales agents, responding to a wide range of inquiries, and providing satisfactory resolutions
- Communicate with our third-party distribution center regarding order needs including creating commercial invoices and ordering labels for POs
- Assist US Inventory Team with stock management in 3rd party distribution center
- Assist accounting with customer billing and payment collection
- Attend UK and EU trade shows, as needed
- Contribute positively to the team dynamic
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Minimum education requirement is GCSE, but degree level preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Solutions-oriented.
- Ability to travel.
- English (Required)
Experience:
- Sales: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
Academic Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent (Required)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit and work on computer for long periods of time in a cubicle environment.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance.
