Working as an HR Policy & Employee Relations Assistant, the role will involve taking a lead in managing HR’s relationship with the Intranet Team. This will include editing content on the HR SharePoint site, designing and determining layouts across HR, managing document and page libraries and fixing broken links. You will need to work well with different teams as you will be attending regular meetings with Intranet colleagues and leading a team of HR editors to ensure all HR site content and layout is accessible and user-friendly.
You will also provide excellent administration support to the Employee Relations function, assisting in maintaining a positive relationship between the organisation and the Departmental Trade Union Side (DTUS). This includes managing a busy mailbox, undertaking secretariat duties such as organising meetings, preparing agendas, and producing accurate minutes. You must also be able to think quickly, prioritise and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
Finally, you will provide support on the development, implementation and maintenance of simple and well-designed HR policies and guidance to support the ongoing development of our online HR Handbook for the Department, in line with our self-service focused operating model.
