Assystem are recruiting for a Buyer to join our customers team a 6-month contract to support the delivery of key projects in Derby.
Role details:
· Job title: Buyer

· Contract: 6-month contract
· Hours: 37 hours + per week (flexible start and finish times)
· Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella
Operating within the supply chain management team across the full product/service life cycle, this role will ensure supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. Manage work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of all purchase documents within the SAP system or other purchasing systems.
Qualifications and experience required to apply for the role:
- Membership of CIPS or studying towards the qualification is desirable.
- Substantial direct purchasing/supply chain management experience
- Experience in SAP (purchasing module) is preferred
- Possess understanding of manufacturing processes and the cost drivers, as well as total cost of acquisition impact
- Understand and be able to operate Supplier Relationship Management
- Proven track record in delivering results
