Job Description
Here at SPTS we design, develop, and manufacture high-tech machines for the global semiconductor market. As a mechanical engineer you will be working as part of a small multi-disciplinary design team with primary responsibilities involving the mechanical design of semiconductor processing tools.
Due to our continued growth and increased in demand we are growing our team of mechanical engineers to help us continue to provide outstanding products to key customers worldwide.
This is a great opportunity for you to progress your career in engineering with many from this team recently developing into key members of product and project teams.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Designing 3D parts and creating 2D draft Drawings using solid edge CAD
Fault-finding and report writing
Creating engineering bills of materials
Bill of material cost control
Supplier contact
Building and testing prototypes.

Is experienced in design of machinery as well as safety regulations and EU harmonized standards including PL rating, Risk Assessments and CE marking
Previous experience of working in the semiconductor or hi-technology related industry would be advantageous.
Design for manufacture
COMSOL multi physics simulation software
Some appreciation of software development
Some knowledge of ERP/PLM systems
Your qualifications:
Educated to HND or degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
