Salary: UH7 Lecturer £35,333 to £42,155 pa dependent on skills and experience
UH8 Senior Lecturer £42,155 to £53,353 pa dependent on skills and experience

Main duties and responsibilities
- Teaching, Learning and Assessment
As the successful candidate, you will undertake teaching and assessment in engineering and technology modules, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in Manufacturing Technology & Management, Advanced Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Procurement. In addition, you will support learning through the design and development of course materials, including online content, as well as undertaking necessary tutorial, laboratory and administrative activities. Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects is also a key part of this role.
You will make a significant contribution to the research and commercial interests of the School by developing short courses, commercial and KTP related activities in the School. In addition, you will contribute to the supervision of postgraduate research projects (e.g. MSc(Res), EngD and PhD) and be expected to engage in research and commercial consultancy activity in the relevant field. The role also includes the building of partnerships with external organisations for the purpose of sponsorship and knowledge transfer activities, so excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
Furthermore, you will be required to carry out appropriate administrative (non-teaching) duties assigned to the post holder by the Dean of School, Head of Department or nominee.
Additional for Senior Lecturer Level:
- The successful candidate will be required to undertake an administrative role in the School such as Module Leadership, assisting with programme management, or other similar duties.
- You will provide leadership in an aspect of research or commercial activities, or other similar duties.
- You will need to undertake other duties within the framework of the post as delegated by the Head of Department or Head of Subject Group.
Skill and experience required

Qualifications required
UH7 Minimum of a first degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant Engineering or closely related subject area and for UH8 a doctorate or close to completion (within 3 months of viva) in a relevant Engineering subject or closely related subject area.
