The Quality Analyst is a key role for the Marlbrook plant, the holder of this position will be a key member of the plant quality and wider quality team supporting the UK Feedstock’s operation. The holder will provide day to day support to ensure all production is compliant to the specification, food safe and meets all legal requirements. Responsible for ensuring HACCP is applied and food safety and quality is met, whilst employing continuous improvement techniques. Responsible for the collation, preparation and testing of internal analytical and environmental testing requirements to ensure continuous compliance. The holder must be able to plan and execute these schedules effectively.

How you will contribute

  • Participate and conduct internal compliance audits to actively support the internal audit schedule for site and across the Feedstock’s sites.
  • Actively manage and support any Non-Conforming products via the Hold and Release process.
  • Create and support the maintenance of SOP’s, work instructions & methodologies linked to any quality criteria and specifications.
  • Participate and conduct internal investigation, as per the internal NCR and CAPA procedures for any quality compliance incidents including, customer complaints, out of specification results, internal audits and factory/GMP issues.
  • Coordination of the sites testing programs covering; plant swabbing, water testing, CIP sampling, raw material intake, production samples, sensory and effluent testing.
  • Ensure all samples are collected, prepared and ready for pick up by the external laboratory company or internal company testing i.e. microbiological and analytical testing requirements.
  • To prepare samples and conduct the testing requirements against pre-determined methodologies/work instructions– i.e. raw material compliance – Soxtec testing.
  • Providing internal testing data for the completion of internal KPI’s for review, trending and traceability.
  • Interpret results to ensure these meet specifications and escalate any results deemed out of specification for investigation. Actively conduct and support any investigation where required.
  • Enter data onto the relevant databases and SAP system to ensure all testing information is captured.
  • To maintain and conduct site calibration requirements of all equipment where deemed applicable. Coordinate/ Support service contracts on any laboratory equipment.
  • Support with the site’s recipe control.
  • Liaise with the Quality team to ensure support is provided as & when required.
  • Ensure up to date specifications are maintained and monitor adherence.
  • S upport any other work required as directed by the Feedstock’s Quality Manager or delegates to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in any projects to ensure quality and testing requirements are captured and incorporated where appropriate.
