This role is eligible for standby and overtime and comes with a company van
Permanent, 37 hours, Full Time
Norwich and covering Lowestoft
What you will be doing?
You will be working directly with sewage dealing with a wide range of issues on our network, including blockages, odours, flooding and incidents across Norwich, Lowestoft and the surrounding area.
Your duties will include:
- Operating a single person, high pressure water jetting unit which you will be trained in as well as specific CCTV equipment- helping to identify and promote repair work for any problems found on our sewerage network.
- Taking ownership for investigating and offering first time resolutions for sewerage issues encountered by our customers
- Responding to incidents, and completing planned maintenance work
- Accurately collating and recording all feedback from site through our IT systems.
- Predominately lone working, engaging with both our internal and external customers on a daily basis
What does it take to be a Field Technician?
- Exposure within the sewerage environment is desirable
- Ability to operate in an outside and
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well using your own initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great communication skills
- Full driving license- having a 4.5 tonne license would be advantageous as the role will eventually require this (training will be provided if needed)
