About us

Oxfordshire Educational Psychology Service is a friendly, supportive team of Educational Psychologists, Assistant Educational Psychologists, EPs in training and dedicated administrative support staff.

We benefit from close links with training courses and value the contribution of EPs in training to our service each year. All EPs have a balance of traded and statutory work, working collaboratively with parent/carers, educational setting staff, other professionals, children and young people.

All EPs support a cluster of schools and support statutory work across the county. There are opportunities to provide training and supervision in a range of areas, including Emotional Literacy Support Assistants, Postvention and Maths.

We are supported by a number of locum EPs to fulfil statutory requirements and protect time for EPs in the service to provide early intervention.

  • Actively challenges racism and other forms of discrimination and promotes equal opportunities
  • Is enthusiastic, creative and determined to make a positive impact on children’s lives through the application of psychology
  • Is a supportive team member who contributes to the service development

Rewards and benefits

We value professional development and peer support. You will be well supported through an initial induction period with a reduced patch for those who are newly qualified, and then regular supervision thereafter, with opportunities for collaborative working with colleagues.

  • Excellent pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 20 per cent of salary
  • Flexible remote working
  • Each EP is provided with a wireless enabled laptop and phone as well as excellent IT support
